New Year Resolution is the traditional one and which does not go well with me. To speak frankly, I think about having a great and energizing New Year resolution every year but when the clock ticks, I don’t think I take the decision move with me. This is purely personal when comes to business /career everyone wants to be in better shape compared with last year.

I take this space to widespread my SEO Resolutions for the Year 2010.

Forget About Old Snake Oil: Don’t go with keyword stuffing in meta tags, alt attributes, keywords in comment tags etc. Search engine algorithms are smarter enough to neglect all these old methods which will not impact in any positive SEO effects.

Having a Defined Keyword Strategy : Not having a defined keyword strategy will not help the website further in getting found in SERP. I’ve seen hundreds of websites with that keywords META filled with the most incredible and unrelated words and phrases, most times on the homepage. The development of a keyword strategy is done in strong relationship with your website structure. Just like your website homepage is a gateway to more detailed content topics, so should be its keywords and the keywords of its sub pages etc.

The keyword strategy should be defined from the home page which is your home page from there on it should be dealt to its inner pages as its shown in the below diagram,
