The Internet is an extremely powerful tool, that when used in a proper manner can allow nearly anyone to have notoriety and even reach celebrity status. However, how does the Internet do this, and what are the steps that people make to reach the status of Internet celebrity? With the sudden onslaught of New Media in our everyday lives, individuals are turning to the Internet to find all of their information and also to become entertained. Thus, there are countless opportunities for people to become recognized and respected within their certain field of expertise, even if it is just being an expert as social commentating.

Throughout the past several years, there have been many people who have capitalized on their ability to grab hold of millions of individual’s attention and create a loyal viewership. When an individual does this, they are soon on their way to becoming an Internet celebrity. For people who are longing to have the notoriety that being a New Media celebrity brings, there are many different ways that this can happen. However, the most popular way that individuals are beginning to become noticed is through blogging and video podcasting. Blogging is the biggest social media outlet, because it allows everyone who has access to an Internet connection the ability to create and distribute dynamic content that will attract thousands of readers.

If you are a fan of celebrity gossip, you have probably stumbled across several social media blogs that are dedicated to providing you with the best in Hollywood gossip. But how did these sites become so popular? The main reason is because they provided people with information that was both funny and informative. When you are able to mix humor and information into the same blog, than you will find success sitting right around the corner. There are many people, who attempt to create blogs, podcasts and online videos, but none of them take off and the die a slow painful and unnoticed death. There are others that find instant fame with their new media creations. Still others map a slow, stead and determined path to a well respected and sizable audience. This all depends on how you market your website and how well the content is delivered within your site.

Of course, one of the most popular ways that individuals have found fame through the Internet is with the social networking site, MySpace. This site has allowed many individuals, mostly musicians, become a household name among Internet users. However, they received their fame through the proper marketing and promotion of their profile, and after much hard work they were finally recognized as an Internet celebrity. No matter why you find yourself being an Internet celebrity, or how you made it there, there is only thing that you must do and that is have professional representation. There are many reasons why having representation when you are a New Media celebrity is important. Yet, the biggest reason why individuals who are experience Internet fame need professional representation is to help grow their audience, realize the maximum amount of publicity, providing them with sponsorship opportunities and gain financially from their fame.
