In October, a merchant sent out an email to all of their affiliates, "win a free hotel certficate." If you sold enough of their product in November, the affiliate wouldwin this FREE hotel certficate. I received an email from the affiliate manager that I met their criteria, so I will be getting the free hotel certificate. About a week later I receive the certificate. Here are the restrictions to use the "FREE hotel certificate:" I have to call a special 800# Leave a $100 deposit Make a reservation for a 2 night hotel stay in washington dc or williamsburg, then I would have to IMMEDIATELY stay 2 nights in Myrtle Beach SC (either fly or about an 8 hour drive). If you do not stay the two nights at each hotel or go directly from one hotel or the other, you lose your $100 deposit. When the incentive went out, no restrictions were mentioned. I was completely written as if you get a free hotel stay as a "Thank you." Why would you want to upset your affiliates, especially the ones that made you money and that is why they "won" in the first place? I feel like they did "bait and switch" to their affiliates. I would not be suprised if they lose affiliates because of this. | |||||||
