Avanish Kaushik over at Occam's Razor (which could be my favorite blog title ever) put out this very helpful primer to analytics recently which for anyone like me venturing into that world, will doubtless prove helpful.

We just added tracking to the old website - even though a new shiny site will be live within 2-3 months. Still, the information in this article will help me set up some goals and look at the reporting i'll need to get up to speed on.

(Just as a quick sidenote: Why is it that we find site stats so damn fun and if you try to tell an "outsider" what it is you do with the facts and figures they walk off fast? )
