January 2008 Thanks a great post. It reminds me of a wonderful story about a man and his hamburger shop and his reaction to recession, here is the edited version; The economy hits hard times he works harder to make his hamburgers the best; buying the freshest lettuce, juiciest tomaoes and softest bread. He survives whiles others close shop and he becomes very rich and sends his son to do an economics degree. Years later another recession looming, his son who is an expert tells dad to "cut back" and prepare for the recession ....of course his hamburgers are no longer the best and sadly he goes out of business. I think one of my economic lecturers taught me that at UNI - I thank him for this sound advice.
