Geo-targeting is essential for local business campaigns. Any advertising outside of the range in which a business can service is wasted money. I have showed a few tips on how to implement geo-targeting in Google AdWords campaigns...now here is Yahoo! Select Geo-Targeting from the CAMPAIGN SETTINGS menu: SEE IMAGE 1. Choose how you would like to Geo-Target on the next screen. SEE IMAGE 2. Then simply check the boxes of the areas you wish to target after selecting the zip code and surrounding miles (if you are trying to get that focused). SEE IMAGE 3. That is it. The process is pretty simple and works much like the Google interface. Remember, if you reduce your area, you reduce your search volume as well. This is important for budgeting. | |||||||

February 2008 It's great to know this, Dan. PPC can be so confusing for the beginner, and it definitely doesn't make sense for a business to compete on the national level if they're after local biz.

if you can't service people outside 50 miles out of an area.....why waste valuable mktg $ on them Reply
