June 17th Very good article which summarize clearly and quickly the most important key points in email marketing design. About the "Alt" Attribute I totally agree and think that many people do not take advantage of that attribute, to provide the information! Indeed most of the time images are blocked and so people can only read the textual part of the email even if there are some important information displayed on images, so why not simply use the ALT attribute which allow providing textually the information not readable on an image! And to conclude about newsletters (which is email marketing too), you should take advantage of unsubscribes to design better emails by offering to the unsubscribers the opportunity to tell you why they do no want to receive any more emails from you. Finally it is kind of a test too and help to construct better campaigns. I read an article on that website about unsubscribes which remembered me how it is important to get every opportunities of improving your work thanks to your targets comments : Taking advantage of an unsubscribe event
