March 24th Andy I agree with your entire list except for number five. If you're monitoring 1-4 then #5 is redundant. Linda, I agree with your addition as well.
I think it's also a good idea to monitor titles of important articles or whitepapers, etc. that you've written. And depending on where you are in the company, monitoring the names of key employees can be beneficial. Your team represents your company so it's good to know what's being said by and about them. March 24th You are right...
The software you are utilizing "should" take care of broad matching every phrase around your term. As far as watching "sucks", "stinks" etc. there is also programs on the market that will automatically disseminate the tone of the post, article, comment etc. and return a sentimant value to you automatically. Taking it a step further, certain software can show you in a report the overall "health" of the brand. These technologies are in in an everflux and are in the early stage, but the software is out there. Reply
