April 3rd Everything really, I'm kind of starting from scratch. I don't go on Gooruze much, but it's amazing what kind of info you have here. Maybe it's cos I'm new, but I think it's an awesome concept cos you can ask people more about stuff where as if you read it in a book you can't go and ring up or email the author asking for more clarification or info.

April 1st I think the hardest thing for me to learn was probably how to phrase things that other people would search for, like with titles. Also, trying to explain how the service is going to work or has worked for a customer is always a hard thing to do if they have enormous expectations for a very minor service.

March 13th Hardest thing i had to learn, jumping into an environment where there was no marketing presence - was that converting the management of the value of internet marketing is a long uphill battle :) Being an ambassador for the customers and an educator to internal staff is a tough role - but one i feel i'm succeeding in.
Then i learned that google analytics is more addictive than crack! And that when you work with internet marketing, most people in the office think you're just surfing the web and slacking off all day :) Reply

March 16th We're a resort t-shirt company, currently expanding brands and marketing vision. I sure hope they see me like that in a couple of years :)

March 12th Oh what a great question, I'm still learning after 10 years, and it's still tough.
Specifically, the hardest thing was realising that not all of your users think like you. I overcame this by running a focus group with some of my best customers. It was eye opening to say the least. The other thing, was that it was extremely hard to find anyone who knew what they were doing in online marketing back then. These days there's so many it's hard to know who knows what they are doing.
