When I signed up I selected a list of groups to join and the topics that interest me. I was assuming this would lead to a customized feed of new content from the site on just the items I'm interested in. If that's not a feature, it sure would be a good one, and if it is, I'd sure like to know where to find it! Thanks!

Also, it took me a good while to figure out that to add to this Feature Wishlist blog that I needed to click on the "Blog Posts" headline.

Hi

Thank you for your comments, we appreciate your feedback however are a little disappointed that you feel like a 'first round beta tester'. Gooruze was thoroughly tested before launch by a team of people but as happens with websites, software, proof reading - you name it - there are always some things that slip through the net. Hence the reason why we've set up the Help Group and the Features Wishlist - we want your feedback!

We're taking on board your point regarding the opt-in requirements for the watchlist and will be bringing this to the front of the site at the point of registration where members select the groups they want to be a part of.

You can receive your watchlist alerts via RSS,  just login, click on 'Watchlist' in your member nav, then on Edit Subscriptions in the top right hand corner. From here you will be able to set up your RSS feeds and also control the frequency of the watchlist emails - weekly, daily or not at all.

Hope this helps!

Okay, I see some things as a pretty big problem related to this. I do not at any time recall subscribing to a digest version of group related articles, yet today I receive an email of the stuff that I pretty much wanted, and quite frankly, would expect to be available as an RSS feed. I feel I have to point at that's straying a little onto the wrong side of the unsolicited email line.

I mean, I know I subscribed to those groups on the site, but at no point was it clear or even mentioned if I recall that I would be receiving emails on what appears likely to be at least a daily basis. You HAVE to make the expectations absolutely clear and totally opt in when it comes to email communications.

And really, it seems just completely odd to me that you have a page of headlines related to my groups of interests, and you can generate an email out to me, but you haven't made the effort to have these available as a feed. For an online marketing professional themed site that just seems like a very big hole.

I'm trying not to sound like I'm bagging on the site too much, I really do like it and the idea is great, but there are some basics that seem a bit underdone and not ready for live. I don't like following a press release for a new service only to end up feeling like a first round beta tester. The QC should be done BEFORE the big promotional push to your target audience.
