| Blog posts 1-7 of 7 21 Oct Howdy, I love how my blog allows me to add a blog entry, but I find this is missing after I have just posted a blog post :0( and I want to write more and can't. I have to think a minute and then realize like group blogging I have to do the same action in a different way, by now having to scroll down on my nav bar on the left looking for the blog link to post another article. I could easily be distracted and not continue to blog again. Just some thoughts on my experience with the jumping navigation for posting blogs. Is anyone else this pedantic? lol
19 Oct Am thinking for more conversation points and call to action to jump in, Recent Articles should be top left and news on the right, latest activity should be on the right underneath recent articles. Popular Articles should underneath news. Why? Because everyone knows what News and Popular articles is...news your read and click off site and popular articles well great job don't necessarily feel compelled to comment. Whereas recent articles and activity is the life and heart beat of a community...and getting more, everyday people to jump in to many conversations areas in this community is crucial to momentum, addictiveness and constant chatter and knowledge exchange. User behavior suggests from Minti, that addicted users track the latest articles and activity like their addiction to coffeee or chai lattes :o) thanks for thoughts and any feedback :0)
19 Oct When I click add for a blog post I arrive at a page for myself to comment on my own blog post. Maybe the page should just refresh to the actual published blog post, I found I got confused and tried to re-write my post again. What do you think?
19 Oct I find that having more entry points to quickly join in the discussion and capture people within the 7 second timeframe is crucial. Will linking the headings on the Gooruze homepage facilitate more clickthrough?
19 Oct I noticed that to write another blog post, I have to click each time on the blog link on the nav bar, which I find is time consuming. On other sites, "add a blog entry" is actually a link above the blog posts that is a great call to action to click and write more and generate more conversation within this community. Would you write successive blog posts if you had a quick short cut just above the actual blog post you just wrote?
19 Oct I had just wrote a timely blog post and had to leave the computer to attend to my son, then came back to promptly add a word and clicked to add. I lost the entire blog post, as I had to log in to post the blog post, but the content disappeared :( Should we have auto save for blog posts?
19 Oct I have noticed that the link to our Gooruze mail (mailbox) is way down the member navigation bar. I think I counted "mailbox" being 13th position. Does anyone think we should lift the position of "mailbox" over some other links that won't get used as much? Will mailbox get used a lot? I know I use it a lot but am I just a minority? thanks for any opinions and feeback :0)
