Hi Guys,

Can anyone shead any light on this for me?

Apparently SEOmoz charges $50/mth to over 1200 clients (1290 according to the comments here).

What I am confused about is... what does the client get for this? Is it access to a private information area and free SEO tools in SEOmoz, or do SEOmoz perform SEO services on the client's website each month?

Here are some of the relevant items that are getting me confused...
  • comments here in a gooruze Q&A
  • information page here about their monthly fee - this would seem to indicate that it is a private info area and free tools
  • blog post here about their recent 1.25M fund raising
Actually I think I may have found the answer. It seems they did have (and probably still do) have an SEO services arm to their business, but their main business is now the subscriptions private area and tools. See comments here on the TC article.

Clay - the premium membership thing includes access to premium content, premium tools, as well as a Q&A forum to ask questions to their staff. It does not include any traditional SEO services.

Hey Matt,

Thanks for the clarification. Wow - I am impressed.

They have been able to build a service around premium content. A bit like WebMasterWorld but probably better.

1200 users at $50 a month is $60k/mth and 720k/yr, not bad at all.

Cheers

Clay

I am still not sure what they offer can not be found online for free.  Most tools I need can be found by simply searching for them in google and there are many forums that have answered most of our questions already.

Does anyone have a subscription and can actually list some tools and features that we can not find online for online free?

Al made a good point above...are the tools that much better than the free ones that are available online?
