Just did another Gooruze article.  It is titled Google Adwords v Google Adsense.
Loving it! Took me about 15 mins I guess, probably because I am not much of a writer
I am really trying to concentrate on helping the newbies. I hope they appreciate it

Cool - I am the 7th ranked Gooruze at the moment (or is that Gooru?).
I wonder how long this will last?
I will put up a fight to the bitter end

It doesn't need to take a long time to publish a Gooruze article.
I just published my latest one in about 5 mins. Now it is a pretty simple article... but at least it is now out there and will help many people (fingers crossed).

Hi Guys,

Can anyone shead any light on this for me?

Apparently SEOmoz charges $50/mth to over 1200 clients (1290 according to the comments here).

What I am confused about is... what does the client get for this? Is it access to a private information area and free SEO tools in SEOmoz, or do SEOmoz perform SEO services on the client's website each month?

Here are some of the relevant items that are getting me confused...
  • comments here in a gooruze Q&A
  • information page here about their monthly fee - this would seem to indicate that it is a private info area and free tools
  • blog post here about their recent 1.25M fund raising
Actually I think I may have found the answer. It seems they did have (and probably still do) have an SEO services arm to their business, but their main business is now the subscriptions private area and tools. See comments here on the TC article.

I heard the other day that ReachLocal raised $5M.
ReachLocal helps small businesses promote their businesses online in local search engines i believe... or in google adwords?

This is fairly big news in the SEO world. I first read it yesterday from Andy Beal's Gooruze blog post.

SEOmoz (an SEO) firm has accepted 1.25M in funding. The Founder wrote a fairly personal and emotional blog post about it here. I must admit I only skimmed through his blog post and am not sure why he feels emotional about it, maybe he feels as though he is not sharing the wealth? Maybe he feels as though he was deceiving people close to him while private discussions were going on? I am not sure, you will have to read it for yourself.

Now TechCrunch has also picked it up here.
