i have been a my.yahoo user, but i have heard so much about google reader i thought it worth giving a shot.... love the trends report already :)

Was interesting to see Mike published his TechCrunch monthly traffic stats the other day.



Also interesting to see a recent interview of him.

Here is a copy of my comments I posted elsewhere regarding Mike's interview...

I think it's pretty obvious that Mike is focused on building a network of niche blogs, with the "crunch" brand.

What I found interesting was seeing his Revenue and also hearing about the offers that he has already received. Lets assume that his 2008 Revenue will be 5M, based on 3M last year and 750k the year before. From what I can tell they would only have expenses around 500k if that per yr, so he is making about 4.5M/yr profit. Why would he want to sell for 8M? Like he says, 20m+ is the types of figures he should be attracting.

It's also interesting to see how much bigger the gawker network is. Nick Denton must be raking in the $$.

By the way, on a side note: I have spent a fair amount of time in that house, as has Duncan Riley. Funny to see the couch turned around (it's normally facing the TV).
