Link building is more exciting than ever in 2009. This is where social media link building is really taking off. A Social Media Link Building Network is a great staple to any link building campaign. A Social media link building network is an idea that stems from deep link building roots but takes a fresh approach that brings this link building technique to the future.
The basic idea is to create a miniature network out of your social media participation. These techniques are simple because they don’t take much more social media set up than you already use. The only thing you need to do is link your social media profiles together into your own miniature network. The reason this is works is because you use only profiles that you maintain or at least should be maintaining anyway.

If you are trying to promote your products and services on the web, you no doubt are participating in the social media sphere in some way or another. Weather it is in forums on social sites, blogs or bookmarking sites. Chances are you maintain various profiles at these sites, it may surprise you, but allot of social media sites are giving anchor text rich DoFollow links from your profiles. The problem is that your profiles do not usually have any authority to pass to your site through that link. That is the beauty of this strategy. The main point to keep in mind when building links to and from your social media profiles is to make sure that the linking relationship between your profiles makes sense to your readers, visitors and community members. Link your profiles together in a way that stays on topic and flows naturally. For example; you may not want to link your personal MySpace page from your industry specific social media profile, however you may want to link your Namyze profile to your linkedin profile. Never set up a social media profile only for a link back to your site. That should be the last thing you do. When you are contemplating whether or not to set up a profile at a new social media site; take the time to personalize your profile, return any comments or friend requests that you get from the social media site. You should also visit the site from time to time to check up on your profile and the community as well as participate in the
