I found this post by Jakob Nielsen today, and I like it because it's clear and concise, and it gives examples of sites that could do better (something that I'm not confident enough to do).

I read a couple of interesting articles by Jared Spool on the User Interface Engineering site recently. They appear to be really well researched and are full of examples (if a little critical of Cisco Systems!).  I thought they made good reading, and I wanted to share them here on Gooruze.  Enjoy!
