January 16th Kate, i've been trialling Xobni for the last few days...I was fortunate enough to have been granted a beta invite from a twitter contact...while it has some nice features (grouping emails by conversation is great), I wouldn't say its a revolutionary, and at times adds unnecessary lag to outlook .
I think the "invite friends to gain access" strategy is a clever viral mkting approach - especially while its in beta. The perception that beta access is limited also creates quite a buzz...just like Google did with Gmail originally.  Reply
