14 Jan I wanted to give a call out in this space to two articles from here on Gooruze that are nominated in the SEMMYS, an awards event now underway to honor great articles and blog posts related to search and online marketing. The nominated articles are: Duncan Riley: Now Mass Linking Is Dead, What Next Andy Beal: Own Your Google Reputation with these Ten Suggestions Congrats to Duncan and Andy! You can learn more about the SEMMYS at www.semmys.org, particularly the "About the SEMMYS" page.

January 14th Thanks for the comments, guys.
Jackie - the SEMMYS are an attempt to honor the great content that search and internet marketers produce within the industry. Right now, a panel of 25 judges is reviewing the nominees in 15 categories. They'll choose finalists, which will be posted next week, probably around January 23. At that point, there will be public voting to decide the winners. That'll last for a week, and then the winners will be announced. But for now, we sit back and wait for the judges to decide the finalists. It has limitations because the nominees are based on my reading and linking habits in 2007. There's a lot of authors included, but also a lot of great authors and content missing. If the industry likes the idea, I hope to get several people to help develop a better nomination system for next year so that we cast a wider net for nominations. :-) Reply
