My 7 year old son has been after me to help him start a business. I finally gave in. I figured if we did something, we should make sure it was fun, earn a few bucks along the way to support his lego habit, and do something that had minimal time requirements ( as he is of course in elementary school and has plenty of homework plus activities). He's a lego fanatic, so we thought that doing an internet business, focused on legos, where he is promoting affiliate programs, would be the smart way to go.

So, we decided to put up a niche blog on blogger. You can view it at http://www.legos-legos.blogspot.com . He's putting on a video show, (video blog), called Lego Adventures . He does reviews on lego sets, he shows some of his lego creations, and if I can get approval from some parents, we may even have 'guests' on the show. I'm doing the video with an $89 Flip Camcorder from Costco, and I'm uploading videos to youtube. The videos are amateur, but I think that is fine for his audience.

We've become affiliates of Amazon, and have put up a lego themed astore , which you can view at http://www.buy-legos.com .

We want to attract kids, who are also into legos like he is, where their parents will then support the site through the lego store that we set up.
