29 Oct For those of you who are unfamiliar with Constant Contact, it is one of the leaders in e-mail marketing services. They allow small businesses to create and manage e-mail lists and professional looking newsletters. The site boasts to have serviced over 130,000 customers. The company went public earlier this month and nearly doubled its offering price on the first day. We use the service ourselves at Team and a Dream and are extremely satisfied with it. However, I wondered what other companies offered the same service after I heard about the IPO. After talking to some of our clients and browsing through the web, I’ve compiled a list of seven alternatives to Constant Contact (in no particular order).

October 2007 I use Campaign Monitor to send out monthly updates to friends, family and business contacts.
I think it's very well set up. Reply

October 2007 At MightyMerchant, we have used Constant Contact for a few months. Before that we used our own mailer but couldn't quite get all the bugs out. My experience with Constant Contact is very positive. I got great customer service the two times I needed to talk to someone. They offer a lot of choices and are easy to modify. We have made available our first survey for our clients and have already received very valuable feedback about what our clients want from their website hosts. Tip to anyone considering switching from one company to another: Make sure you fully understand the new company's import policy! If you already have an established list you don't want to have to ask anyone to resubscribe just because you switched email marketing companies.
