30 Oct This post is from from my other blog here After a series of Internal Server Errors, whose causes we can’t pinpoint at present, we finally have some good news to share. We checked RMO’s latest Alexa stats today and was pleasantly surprised that it is ranked at 99,350. Finally, after months of waiting. RMO owes this rank to our EntreCard buddies, StumbleUpon (lots of thanks to the unknown visitors who stumbled a few of RMO’s post), and Google. Visit RMO’s Alexa Page. Since we are on the subject of good news, here’s another one for WordPress users. Brian Gardner, of the Revolution theme series fame, has offically launched his new open source ...
23 Oct This post is from from my other blog here Whew! ReapMoneyOnline is back online. It seems that EntreCard has noticed RMO’s brief absence too because we received an email with the following content: Your account ‘ReapMoneyOnline’ on entrecard.com has been deleted. The administrator gave the following reason: Rule 10: http://entrecard.com/docs/doku.php?id=blog_quality_standards. Please contact deleted [at] entrecard.com if you have any questions regarding this action. Please include the following: User ID: 3396 So, EntreCarders who ...
12 Oct This post is from from my other blog here Whenever we think of successful teen online entrepreneurs, Ashley Qualls of Whateverlife.com always comes to mind. Ashley’s business is mainly focused on that site. Cameron Johson is different, he’s both a serial and a super entrepreneur. Like he was born to make money off the web. Cameron is now 23 but he made his first million before he turned 19. His money-making adventure began at the age of 9 selling greeting cards, then moved on at 12 to buying his sister’s dolls and selling them on eBay. His next venture was MyEZmail, which started giving him $3,000 a month after 2 ...
09 Oct This post is from from my other blog here Hakia. Rhymes with a popular Finnish cellphone make and sound’s like a hacker’s nickname. It is presently ANOTHER search engine that might just become the OTHER search engine on its way to be THE search engine. What makes Hakia a potential David? The blog says it doesn’t rely on statistical ranking methods such as Page Rank, back links, and traffic to provide a quality search experience. Using, instead, “semantic” analysis and “meaning-based” searches to serve up useful information. Hakia was initated in 2004 and is still in beta at the moment. No fanfare, simply an elite team lead by a nuclear ...
07 Oct This post is from from my other blog here Aside from being our main blog, ReapMoneyOnline is also our test blog. This is where we test new features, services, and widgets. We have enrolled RMO with Scoutle and installed their widget (called the stage) at the bottom of the right side bar. It’s the one with the footprints (reminds us of Gnome) with 2 figures walking and meeting. Scoutle is a free service that provides automated social networking. Sort of like we meet people but don’t actually meet them since we have our scouts to do that for this blog, which in the case of RMO is named Bren. We’re not ...
06 Oct This post is from from my other blog here “You can lead a horse to water but you can’t make him drink.” Old proverb We tried pinning down the source of this proverb but it seems that a lot of countries has a version of it. In some versions, the horse even became a donkey. The proverb came to mind because EntreCard will be 1 year old a few months away and we still read the old refrain that EC dropping is not worth the readers we get from the community. ReapMoneyOnline joined EC in January (or February?) of this year and the community or system has never failed to deliver on ...
03 Oct This post is from from my other blog here After being jilted by a lover It’s no secret that Microsoft is itching to take over Google’s place with Live Search. A gargantuan ambition worthy of the software giant considering that it places a distant third in the U.S. search market behind Yahoo and Google. Data from ComScore shows that 8.3% of searchers use Microsoft’s search engine while ...
01 Oct This post is from from my other blog here Maybe we’re still in shock However, just in case we find something that indicates that ...
30 Sep This post is from from my other blog here We just received an email from EntreCard informing members that the social/ads network has forged a partnership with OIO publisher. OIO publisher is a script or plugin that allows us to run advertising in our sites automatically like ad networks. It runs as a plugin for WordPress but for Blogger.com or BlogSpot blogs, here’s what the EntreCard Team wrote: Again I need to be clear that you must have some sort of hosting to use OIO publisher. I works on blogger and all forms of blogging, but you do need some space on a server to upload and install the software. ...
