25 Sep This post is from from my other blog here Rumors have started about plans by Google to launch a virtual world to rival Second Life and Habbo. The new 3D social network, apparently called “My World”, will make use of the Google Earth and Google Maps applications and is penciled in for launch later this year. The speculation started after a survey was circulated to students of Arizona State University. September 2007 Wow - I suspect this could be very successful if Google is behind it as their Google Earth & Maps products are extremely good.
I am not a SecondLife user though, as I am struggling with completing everything that needs to be done in my FirstLife, but with Google's resources and servers I am sure they will give SecondLife a huge shake! But will they out feature a well funded startup which has just a single focus? Reply
