04 Feb Any suggestions of sites to use for reputation management/ SEO SERP defense? Some good ones I know that can suppress sites such as the ripoffreport.com are Topix / Propeller / Craigslist / Widgetbox / Squidoo / Digg / Stumbleupon / Reddit/ etc. With the growing concern of reputation management, more competitors are using it to smear URL's to up the ante. Just make sure your own site has authority first, or you can replace yourself in the SERPs. Not to mention, you have to augment them from time to time to ensure the freshness factor of the links don't just slide off the page and the older (more authorative) offending post rises back in it's place. Any other sites that would be good for this? Suggestions anyone?

February 2008 Jeffrey, i've found a few web 2.0's that have worked well to fill the SERPs...some of the faster acting services include:
Jumpcut - video service Utterz - new microblogging platform Buzka - new generation bookmarking and web aggregation service ning - community service. outside web 2.0, there's nothing like some strong PR...we have about 7 press releases that feature in the top 30 results for ineedhits...especially some of the paid versions which tend to attract higher rankings. hope that helps Reply
