Good for Clickbank! Here's a portion of their response to the new sales tax law that has been enacted in New York and has caused thousands of affiliates living in New York to be dumped by various companies.

"While we are disappointed by New York’s decision, there is no way we are going to cut off our affiliates, our highly-valued business partners, because of an action by lawmakers." Click here to read the rest of Clickbank's response

This post is from my other blog, here.

For those of you that may not have guessed by now, I'm a fan of country music. I'm also a huge fan of country music singer, Brad Paisley, so while taking a break this morning, I came across one of Brad's videos and it gave me an idea for a contest...read the rest of this post at the JanRon Publishing Digital Products Blog.

We've had 2 members cancel their membership to the JanRon Publishing Digital Club this week, because they had to cut back on spending, due to the rise in gas, food and utility prices.

Just wondering if other memberships are experiencing this also, or if you've had to cancel paid subscriptions or didn't purchase something because you need to cut back on what you spend?

Lee Erickson has a great article over on MarketingProfs about three important factors to look at before your business starts using social media.

"...Every day there's a new hot site, a new viral marketing success (or horror) story, or a new technology to learn about. There's a lot to keep up with, and it's continually evolving.

So how do you decide what to do?

Start by taking a giant step backward and assessing the social media landscape as it relates to your market, your buyers, and your competitors."        Click here to read the complete article.

Found a site last night with page after page of Twitter apps. http://twitterapps.co.uk/   If you go, prepare to be there for a while.

I also spent several hours this morning browsing Anthony Blake's forum. I found it to be much more laid back and friendlier than the Warrior's forum has become lately so I registered. I haven't had time to set up my profile yet, but my username is iamsbm.

There's a pretty heated discussion over on Uber Affiliate's blog about using
Twitter for affiliate marketing.  What's your thoughts?

I'm just getting started in the "social networking" scene. I've joined a couple of sites like, Twitter and JoePopular but have been searching for something that was focused more on "marketing". Then this morning while reading the ineedhits newsletter I saw their widget for Gooruze. I knew immediately that this was what I had been looking for.
