Have you ever tried to remove a Google Analytics account? what a pain in the neck this is, and I really can’t understand why.

The other day I ran up against my account limit of having too many Analytics accounts associated with my Gmail address. Going through my list of domains, I realized that there were lots of old accounts from months and even years ago that I no longer use and wanted to remove.

I had looked once before for an easy way to remove them and never could figure it out. I looked again, and there still is not a ...

I wrote a few weeks ago on SEMpdx about the fact that if you searched for a domain name on Network Solutions, and then didn’t buy it that moment for their extremely high price, that you cannot go register it elsewhere, because they basically lock it up.

Now it appears they’re getting sued for doing it! While I still think it’s a slimy practice, I don’t agree that it’s an actionable legal issue. I guess guess we’ll see…

There’s apparently a bug in Google PageRank at this very moment, causing a PR0 to appear for many pages from many geographic locations, and I had a brief moment of panic. ;)

I just happened to notice that one of my sites was a PR0 - That was odd, so I checked another, and another, 5 domains, all PR0. Then I looked at my blog, and it too had been knocked down to a zero. Oh no, my link juice, all gone!

Then I looked at a client site, then another, and another. All PR0. Then, a flash of inspiration brought ...

About a month ago I decided to try a new link building too called Linkvana, and I wrote about it on my blog.

Now, about 30 days later, I AM still impressed. I HAVE seen ranking improvements, spidering frequency HAS improved, and all can be traced directly related to our LinkVana use, in my opinion.

Once again, I’ll repeat that this is NOT not a “total” solution, but it’s a DAMN good piece of pie for $149 a month. It’s like having a little vote out there, with proper link text back to the page of your choice.

I’m STILL ...

This sounds to me like a great thing, being able to bypass all of the bureaucracy involved in bringing fast high speed wireless to rural areas with land lines.

There’s a reason we in the United States are NOT the worlds leader in high speed internet, much less wireless, and in my opinion, it has to do with payola, and not a lack of technology.

This site is not exactly what I would call “stellar” but in just under 10 minutes I point out a few things that might be educational to some people trying to take shortcuts on the fast track to success with MFA (Made for Adsense) sites and affiliates. Take a look, and please leave any feedback desired…

(and sorry about that crack I make “c’mon, you know this is crap” but you do, right?)

oh - I suddenly seem to be having trouble with my videos making weird noises Firefox. Does anyone else hear that? It seem to sounds okay ...

In January of 2007 I joined StomperNet under the belief that I would get the personal attention of their world-class faculty.

I assumed that for the nearly $10,000 I was going to pay for the year, I would not only learn everything I wanted to know, but I would establish some personal relationships that I could continue to nurture over time.

Admittedly I learned an awful lot, but primarily what I got was sales pitch after sales pitch, and “new program” after “new program”, and far too many different forums that offered practically no participation by the original faculty members that were ...

Is it possible that an Ebook can be a collectors item? Maybe so, because “the guy who wrote the book on SEO”, Aaron Wall has emailed his affiliates to tell us that as of midnight February 20th, it’s no longer going to be for sale, and in it’s place will be something better. (More on that tomorrow)

So, it looks like your last chance to legally buy the last (and most recent version) of the worlds #1 best selling SEO Book in history is running out. I already have mine…

You know the drill by now… searching the web for subject relevant blogs and posting an intelligent comment that you hope will get you a counted backlink to your own domain or webpage of your choice.

It’s a tedious process, and one that’s that’s proven and effective, but it takes an awful lot of time to not only find those blogs in the first place, but then evaluate the domain and the post to see if it’s even worth your time to comment.

The inclusion of the rel= “nofollow” tag on blog comments to prevent spam has made this practice almost pointless, ...

This is a large site that turned out to have lots of structural issues, server errors, disappearing pages etc. A bit more than the SEO-101 I though i’d be doing, but a lot got covered, all in just about 12 minutes.

As always, anyone else’s input is appreciated, and feel free to point out anything I may have missed (I’m sure there’s plenty) … Site review video here

This is a quick 3 minute look at the new Google experimental view options, and how the searchers behavior and intent will change the serps at the click of the mouse. This is just a glimpse of what’s coming, and I sort of like it.

I thought this was neat, and it gave me a chance to try out the new Revver plug-in for Wordpress - Pretty cool. Not to mention, that for now there are no ads in Google’s experimental search for now ;)

This morning it looks like Microsoft is offering 44.6 billion dollars to buy Yahoo. Holy Cow. That’s a far cry from the usual things I see when I browse my morning Twitter feed.

Actually, I’ve been wondering what’s taken them so long, since it’s clear they’re not going to get decent market share any other way.

You can read the gory details here, while I go try and register Microsahoo.com…
