Right now I get a lot of traffic by posting a link to my new posts there… but it’s more than just marketing and getting traffic… you actually can make friends - you’re in constant communication with anyone you’re following. I started out following a bunch of my favorite bloggers and only about 2 real-life friends… ...

January 2008 I'm at 129 and growing. Nowhere near some of the peeps on here, but I'd like to think the people I follow offer some value from their daily experiences that I can glean from or relate to in some way or another. Kind of like why I'm sitting here writing this comment. I like Twitter for real-time news, new campaigns, fresh ideas, networking, etc. I almost only market the nonprofit Im a part of as I don't see any authenticity in promoting the company I'm at unless it adds value.
