TechCrunch reports: Automattic, the company that created the Wordpress.com blogging platform and oversees the Wordpress.org open source project, has rejected a $200 million acquisition offer, says multiple sources. Half the price was to be paid in cash, half in stock in the buyer.

staggering to find out they have only taken $1.1M in capital to date!
How do they make money? Do they have a premium service?

i agree with you Marc
I think Google acquired blogger for around 15-30M... so 200M doesnt seem to bad to me ;)
