Mashable is reoporting:

Forget pasting and repasting your AdSense code whenever you make even the smallest change to your ad units. With the new, simplified AdSense management you create each ad unit once, and when you change it on your AdSense management page, the changes will automatically be reflected on your site. The changes will not be instant; according to Google, sometimes you’ll have to wait a couple of minutes (10 tops) for the changes to actually go live.

I wonder if this works for referrals too?
