MySpace has announced plans to release its own "news feed" application to offer its increasingly inactive user base a reason to stay connected. The "news feed" application which Facebook launched, is the activity connection that continues to drive the the social network's strong user interaction, a key reason many of MySpace's members have jumped ship.

MySpace is positioning its news feed as more functional by "allowing its members to operate different versions of a profile for groups like family, friends, and co-workers." This is an idea that facebook has hinted at, but is yet to release...

at the end of the day, it's an obvious attempt by MySpace to recover serious lost ground, rather than innovate...

will it be a case of "too little too late"?
