November 2007 If the advertising is right before i get free wifi - heck i guess i can live with it :)
Where this will be succesful is if the advertising is, as the article said - targetted to the network. Even more useful would be local advertising opportunities - i'd actually pay attention to an ad, even 2-3 when hooking into a hotel netwrok if it were for a local attraction, theater or restaurant - i can see some of the big restaurants getting in on this: "hey, after you leave your wonderful (insert hotel name here) room -why not come and eat with us - and have 10% off the bill" That sort of localized targetted marketing could be pretty effective i think. many's the time i've been in an airport - or hotel and asked "where should i eat? What should i see" etc ... Reply
