An article in today's (Mon 10th Dec) Sydney Morning Herald raises some interesting points about the 'dumbing down' of content on the net. Although the article isn't specifially about online marketing I believe it raises a valid issue that affects us all, including content published on social sites as - Gooruze. Happy reading | |||||||

December 2007 I don't know what she is on about - really! Why do such smart people make such ignorant bold claims. People haven't stop reading books or stopped writing to spend time on the internet - they have stopped watching TV ! And they weren't watching educational documentaries. With the internet we now read blogs from all over the world, some of us even try and write a blog. In this new internet world we can stay more connected with new global trends and insights than ever before. I think the only fair critism is that some have stopped doing exercise /or sport which I agree is a worry. Oh and perhaps the importance of grammar has reduced due to the internet - but as one who hated it at school - I personally call that progress! If I can use Gooruze as a guide - definitely not dumming me down.
