Sears Deceives Online Customers

I guess this story broke several weeks ago, but I only just heard about it. Here are the highlights from the article.

1) Sears incentivized customers to join a sears community with special offers, promotions, etc.
2) The fine print (over 50 "screens" of info) mentioned in a roundabout way that sears would be allowed to track the customers web activity for 7 full days.
3) a harvard professor actually read the fine print and posted it on his blog, outing the deceptive company

I read this on the consumerist. Some of the other things on their about SEARS is horrible as well.
