An interesting addition to the search results.

I'm much of a Yahoo! searcher, but am an avid del.icio.us user. This will add an extra dimension to the search results - i wonder what effect it will have on CTRs or whether Yahoo! will start using del.icio.us based popularity in their search algorithm to help determine rankings...

I actually think this is overdue...Google and Yahoo! both have valuable social resources that can help make their search results more relevant and intuitive. Graham - i wouldn't be surprised if del.icio.us style factors start getting inrtoduced into the ranking algorithm - they'll just need to be sure they can prevent spamming from destroying their value.

That would definitely be the concern. The good thing about del.icio.us and sites like that are the somewhat unbiased nature of what's popular...
