As an existing gmail user I love it as it helps illustrate what I can do with gmail - would be a great welcome video.

But as an advertisement to try and switch non geek, mainstream people from existing mail providers with unlimited bandwidth I think it falls short.

I think they should have explored a more people orientated message (less techie) approach to why gmail is so much better.
