I keep telling people not to discount LinkedIn because it is much more than a create-your-own-history-place. When I was at Carfax, the company coined a phrase "Data authenticates data".  LinkedIn is doing just that. They have enough density now to show career paths for people before and after joining the company, affinities, male-female and assumed age splits.

The most interesting thing to me is how your personal network at that company becomes the center of the presentation. These guys are for real.  I firmly believe it. 

Here's a more interesting question.  Tweaked or not, presented with the best online reputation management possible, who reading this *doesn't* have a LinkedIn profile?
