Yahoo! have just announced and shared details about the new Ad Management Platform they've been working on for months. AMP! promises to "transform the online advertising industry by dramatically simplifying processes for advertisers, agencies, ad networks and publishers".

now before anyone gets too excited - AMP! is only penciled in for launch in Q3 2008. And the initial rollout will only be available to members of their newspaper consortium. The rest of us get a look in late 2008 - early 2009.

Check out the video - functionality looks impressive - but the key to any ad platform is adoption by publishers and advertisers...guess we'll see how good it is later this year.
