 I'm looking to employ a part timer in Second Life for some property management, PA work and greeting people. I've got no idea what the going rate is currently for a virtual employee, although I suspect it's not very high. If anyone has any advice on rates for such a position let me know. thanks. | ||

October 2007 I suggest creating a persona (myspace, facebook and some second life forums) pages in the image of a cute but not too attractive girl. Create your Second Life avatar the same way... If you do it right you'll most likely be able to find some sucker to do your property management work for free. Just call them "partner" and/or put their name on the "title" of your company first.
Heh, it's what I did when I was playing Star Wars Galaxies and running a large scale natural resource mining operation. JKResources - woo. It's was actually still around a year ago, don't even know if that game is still going... and was the largest on like 5 servers after over 4 years of not playing and me handing it off to the group of guys I had running it. This tactic also works on World of Warcraft - well at least to get free money. May be sneaky... but it works and it's just a game (even when real money is involved) -Wingnut  Reply
