Paid Search marketing never stops (well, unless you are using the scheduling features in Google). How much time do you put in on the weekends managing your accounts or doing other work? I tend to just look at my spend and see how many conversion I am getting on my smaller accounts. My large ones are pretty mature at this point and run pretty much the same from week to week. I was just curious how much of a break other Gooruze members take on the weekends.

I think these days with wireless, mobile internet access, blackberries, RSS feeds, social networks, etc. etc. - it's really hard to define the line between working and weekends! (Does checking Gooruze count??)

For me, the only real way to take a break is to force myself to stay 100% offline :)

I try not to work, but inevitably spend a few hours both days tinkering. I find at the w/e I'll normally just do little bits and pieces as I keep an eye on the sports / results and potter about the house, or I'll work on one of my internal scripts / sites rather than client faced things.

Weekends are generally the time I have to respond less to outside influences, so I look on it as my GTD time. Those projects that require more attention without interruption.

i find weekends a good time to do research and investigate new ideas, techniques, news etc... sometimes during the week with all the tactical load...it's hard to pull your mind away from the multitude of deadlines, and "must-dos"...so the freedom from the "desk" on the weekend is a good time to go exploring...

I use to work 7 days a week for at least 10 hours per day.
Then I got  hitched and working that much didn't seem as appealing as before.

I still work a lot, but I try to coordinate with my husbands schedule. If he's working on the weekends, then so am I. If he's off then I'm off....ahhh the beauty of not having a boss.

Naptime is a wonderful thing.

My 3 year old wears me out...but I find that I can get some work done during his weekend naptime.

At this point, I usually only look on the weekends if a new campaign or engine was recently added.  A couple of weekends ago we started a new program in an affiliate network so I decided to search our brand name and found affiliates bidding on our name just on the weekends.  Then I had to check all the engines, find out who it was, etc...
