Why? Adwords System Maintenance

Well here it is. There answer to why the maintenance takes place and why it is completed at 10am.

While I apologize for any inconvenience these maintenance periods may
cause, it is currently necessary to perform it during these times in order
to ensure timely access to new AdWords features and performance
enhancements. I will, however, be sure to pass your feedback on to our
engineering teams, as we are always looking for ways to improve our
services.

We do our best to inform our advertisers of our maintenance schedule in
advance, so that they have time to plan accordingly and make any necessary
adjustments before such downtimes occur. Thank you for your understanding.

Well? What did they do? Any UI changes?

I do know the report downloads have been changed.

I do wonder why they can't just take the overall system access data, find the least accessed times and just do the "maintenance" then.

I just emailed them.  Let's see what they say :)

Why don't they tell us what they are doing...instead of just changing the UI randomly without saying anything.

maybe they will send you some more Advil.

I think they should give Al a badge and make him Sheriff of Adwordsville. He's always policing the streets and keeping crime at bay.
