Hi I am trying to run a simple query but not sure what is the best free online tool to use.

I want to see what "url A" comes up for "search term X" and then compare competitor sites "url B" and "url C".

I remember using a cool free online site to do this but can't find it now :s

Thanks
Clay

Yep Digital Point seems to be a favourite round our office too.

Hi Brian

Thanks for that.

I tried to sign up and it is asking for a Google API key... and from this research i did, it looks like Google stopped giving out Google API keys as of Dec 5th 2006.

It sounds like I and new users can't use this tool?

Rene,
Is it really working for you.
I have been able to sign up, but when I add a keyword, I get the following error...

Exception from service object: Invalid authorization key: ABQIAAAAh91PFbf7bENSGV6tq6XFbRTe5B8PAjl9VswwGC

DOH!

I guess not :(

Hmm..

Don't know of any other free ones. I use WEBCeo at work, costs a couple hundred bucks a year. Does a fine job.

SmallBiz Edition
only $199 USD (one time fee, plus subscription fee)

Professional Edition
only $389 USD

I'm a user of WebCEO and it does a pretty good job at finding the search results as you described. The only downfall, like with any other 'rank checker' is that the positioning is off a few positions at times. Where you may be ranking position #4 for a particular term, it will tell you that you are ranking #11. I'm very picky about my tools being exact. I always do hand searches for my clients when dealing with their top competitive terms.

SeoBook has two tools...one that allows you to check one domain at a time. When I have checked it... it was dead on. This one allows you to check multiple domains, I have not tried this one yet: http://tools.seobook.com/general/mass-domains/
