Alex-S-
So, here's my question of the day:

Which 3 industries would you love to have the chance to "socialize" to even greater levels? Ie - industries that have taken some steps on the path to "2.0 enlightenment" but could benefit by opening up rich user experiences and dialog even further?

For me:

1: Real Estate
2: Foodservice distribution
3: Law

Having worked for 2 of the nations leading foodservice supply companies - i see huge potential there. Open up all sorts of user experience platforms - reviews, recommendations, social networks, etc.  I know back in my days at one of them there was a move to change their sales force from order takers to relationship managers - adding social media into the online marketing mix would help facilitate that so much.

And as i go through the home buying process right now - i see some interesting developments in the way Realtors work - but to the largest part its the same old system as it's always been.  more social aspects people! Community reviews, sending clients custom google maps with listings and local stores, transport info and much more.

So, all that said - what would you like to have a part in changing and why?

PS: (Does this post read as "In-House marketer" :) )

There are a few companies who have been doing that in real estate, but the only one I can think of off of the top of my head is Connecting Neighbors.

i agree.

i worked for the largest one a few years ago (like 12...pre-internet)..and they pay like $6 for a product they then sell for $176.

No embellishment there...we'd get in like 500 and just take them right over to shipping because they were on back-order.
