November 29th OK Gooruze, I have good news. There's going to be an official Gooruze meet and greet at PubCon - that translates into drinking.
![]() The plan is to meet at the Envy lounge/bar located at the Renaissance Hotel - across from the convention center. We'll meet at 5:30pm (until 7pm) on Thursday Dec 6th. If you're already a Gooru, it's a chance to meet in person. If you know someone attending Pubcon who's not already a Gooru, invite them along! Look for me somewhere in the Envy bar area - drinks are on Gooruze (thanks Jackie!). I've created a Gooruze Pubcon group, so head over there and let me know if you plan on attending. Reply

November 7th I'll be there. I'm speaking on Local/Mobile Search. Look me up. I like beer, golf, and Vegas restaurants. How can someone not have something in common with that? :)

November 8th I was going to (my boss was going to come out) but he isn't able to make it. I've played Bali Hai on the strip and the Wolf course at Paiute. If there were a group, I'd be in.

November 8th I have not been to the last few but always found the previous ones to be the most informative conference on the circuit. One thing I liked, is there was lessing pushing by the vendors (yes I was one of the vendors) during their presentations and more information sharing. There is no hard sell, just information. The best networking is done after hours. Yes, there is drinking but people do not necessarily go over board with the drinking. It just helps keep the throat wet from all the talking that is done. Having said that, the beer also stops you talking and allows you to listen to other people - a great way to learn from some of the real experts, who have been there and done that. Like I said, it may have changed.

It really is the most affordable conference I have seen for the amount of topics being covered. Reply

November 7th Unfortunatley not going to make it - whilst I am disappointed, my liver does thank me! Pub Con is the best conference conference to go to in terms of the quality and quanity of information you get during the important "sessons" - those which are held after hours. But it is hard on the body! Reply
