Are you a group leader?

I think currently there some problems with groups. First off:

1. There not featured on the homepage.
2. You can't vote, which might entice people not to post there.
3. Most people probably don't even understand there purpose, or know they exist.
4. Also from an SEO standpoint they still lack TITLE tags.

I think if they fix those 4 things then you will see more posting in them.

My opinion is if the admins are looking for more space on the HP to utilize group postings, why not knock out the Tag section. I don't ever use it.. Do you?

That's a very good analysis. I'm sold.

For the tag section, the admins should know if it's being used or not. I say take away what's clicked less and try group postings instead.

Thanks for the feedback - some good ideas here to improve groups I'll add to the wishlist. I'm not a fan personally of tag cloud but I'm told some love it.

yea I could see the tag cloud being beneficial for people who peruse the site once in a while. People who know what they like to read about, and can quickly click a "tag" and find out all the info they need on that given topic.

It can def be handy, just figured it might clear up some space.

or move the "founding Gooruze" section....most don't make any posts.

the NC group is pretty active.
