It ain't fun.

As a user of both, I would urge you to try Google Analytics side-by-side because pulling it from Google is just faster.

If deploying GA on your site is too burdensome, go to Web Trends and head down this path:

--Marketing
----Referring Domain (much better than referring site b/c it rolls up the main domains although other countries are broken out)
-------Use the search box for your campaign name (assuming you tagged a variable on your landing page, or
-------Click the query button (which is an awful, cumbersome process)

If you do create a query, be sure to bookmark your report so you can easily return.  The one thing WT does well (although, again, Google does it better) is maintain a nice list of report queries.   The one place where WT has a slight edge is in the number of export options, but to kick off a database export, for example, you end up loading a java app.

Use the WT.mc_id to tag all of your ads. This will automatically seperate your paid ads from organic placements.

Does that show in the referrers option broken by engine or should the tag include the engine name, Mark?   If so, that's an awesome suggestion, and I hope I have the opportunity to buy you an adult beverage one day to thank you for pitching in on that one.

Ahh, forgot to mention that adding WT.srch=1 will indicate a paid search ad. This is all you need to do as WT uses a config file to interogate the referrer to determine which search engine the visitor came from and will place in the correct search engine bucket. Use the WT.mc_id to assign  a campaign ID, such as in the case of a cross channel campign to also have the visit show up in campaign reports.

Not sure if that's possible in Webtrends but I know it's possible in Google Analytics.
