We're about to embark on a trial using this targeting method to seed a new viral game based on travel. Does anyone have any previous campaign experience using this? The credentials for the system are impressive: see here for interesting post on it: http://seekingalpha.com/article/48470-facebook-s-cpc-hyper-targeting-may-challenge-google D | ||

February 6th I've been using the program over the last couple of months.
Seriously low CTR rate of 0.13%, 5% higher than average bounce rate with no conversions so far. I've only managed to generate ~60 clicks from the program but I am targeting a very specific niche.
While the ads are very targeted, I think what it lacks compared to something like AdWords is intent. When a buyer sees your ad on Google, they are actively searching for your products/services, whereas on facebook, your just placing the product in front of consumers whether they are ready to buy or not.
It will obviously depend on what you are trying to promote, so i'd say give it a shot combines with AdWords and keep a close eye on which is performing the best! Good Luck :) Reply

February 8th You make a great point here Matt. On search engines, buyers are searching for the specific product or service...great identification of the major difference. I think it depends on the product or service you are offering. We have an ad campaign we are launching this weekend with the simple heading of "Atlanta Real Estate"...I also plan to run one for my personal business, Zowbie Consulting in which the headline will read, "Need a Website?" I think everyone has a need for real estate as well as a website so I'm hoping to have success here. I'll follow-up with some results!
