March 7th i can't really speak from much experience when it comes to seeking out an affiliate company to help spread your brand.
Anything I've been involved with has either been as an actual affiliate, or implementing our own solutions with software, and not using a big network. However, in my opinion, the "best" affiliate programs are ones where there is no middleman in place, because that can lead to higher commissions and a better relationship with your affiliates. I've recently begun a relationship with a large group of sites that seems to have grown their own program just fine with some software and a footer "affiliates "link That said, if you want to reach the masses of affiliate marketers, then I can see why you'd be looking - However, then I've got a different answer... The "best" affiliate company for you is going to depend what you're selling. If it's a service then the best option might be one company, while if it's a niche product, it might be another. Have you got mass quantities of product with available datafeeds, and you're looking for a ton of affiliates? Then the answer might be CJ, Linkshare, Pepperjam, or another giant. Have you got downloadable software or an e-book? If so, then ClickBank might be the best for you, to reach the most people for the lowest investment. Have you got a very targeted niche specialty product? If so, Netshops seems to have the market cornered on niche affiliate shops, and they're very easy to work with (speaking as an affiliate, not a provider) what are you selling? Reply
