 Hello Everyone, I have just been given the responsibility of looking after my company's site and have been advised that it costs money to put another website's link on it. Please excuse my ignorance on this as I am still finding my roots in this emarketing world, but I thought if anything, it is advertising for them so they should pay us! | ||

Sunday So what your boss is saying that if someone wants to put a link on your website, it costs your company money to do that? Is that right?  Reply

Tuesday Not so much that they want to put a link on our site, but we want to put their link onto ours... Reply

Thursday I see. What is your site? It shouldn't really cost you anything except for the cost of changing the content of your page - but since you're now maintaining the website the cost should just be paying you. You don't need to pay the other companies to have their link on your page, the benefit is for them having their link onto your page as you're most likely giving them a back link. Reply
