Some good ones I know that can suppress sites such as the ripoffreport.com are Topix / Propeller / Craigslist / Widgetbox / Squidoo / Digg / Stumbleupon / Reddit/ etc. With the growing concern of reputation management, more competitors are using it to smear URL's to up the ante. Just make sure your own site has authority first, or you can replace yourself in the SERPs. <br />

Not to mention, you have to augment them from time to time to ensure the freshness factor of the links don't just slide off the page and the older (more authorative) offending post rises back in it's place.<br />
