Your Local RSL / YMCA is the Bomb for a Good, Cheap Gym

I just got back from Rooty Hill RSL and it had never occured to me just how great local RSL's and YMCA are. Let me give you a flashback of my afternoon.

The main reason I went was for One55 gym (their massive 3 storey health complex) to do my workout. I have had nasty experiences in the past with health clubs trying to hard sell me into health plans, but no - they were polite, the patrons were well behaved. It's what a gym should be.

After the gym I took a shower (facilities clean: IMPORTANT) and headed down to the resteraunt. I ordered a glass of red wine and a steak - it was one of the tastiest pub steaks I've ever eaten, and the service was very polite and fast. Apparently there's a catered function centre here too, so I'm thinking of booking it out for my party.

The point of this entry? Get out of your Fitness First gyms and your expensive meals and head to your local RSL / YMCA. It's just as good, cheaper and full of nice people.

Aside from the cool intro animation, there was one thing about this that I thought was really (almost out of this world) cool. Apparently this software can handle different languages using a single set of animations - you just have to have multiple languages specified and it will automatically link it to the different sections of the tutorial. If you check out the demo this is true.
